This came out of nowhere.
I was playing around with a simple tribal groove, layering endless percussion until it all seemed to fall into place.

A bit 'Talking Headsy' / XTC '82 / and maybe a touch of INXS, I dunno - you be the judge.

Lyrically a stream of consciousness wanting back the 'old times' while blindly moving into the future...good man being stabbed in the back..a fear of the future and what it could hold.

There's a lamplight blinking in some corner of the world
A sugar coated signpost for a boy or a girl
Sacrificial circumstance, not all it seems
Hidden in this jungle is a metaphor of dreams

There's people blindly moving in a desert full of lies
They cannot see the difference, cos they won't open their eyes
An ill informed communion at the bedroom of love
Where litigation fills the skies like gunshots from above

Two brothers in a stand-off, twenty paces in the sun
Told to keep their distance, sticky fingers on their gun
One he spends the dollar and the other spends his life
Speaking words of wisdom, while his brother screws his wife

Here comes the tribesman with his weapon in his hand
He fights the greedy fingered souls who infiltrate his land
He's wary of the silvered-tongued who smiles the broadest smile
Letting loose the demons who release his inner child
